Creativity is within each and every one of us. It is a place of peace for many, a refuge from the world. Like a warm hug from the nurturer within, it can open up a portal to a deep sense of contentment. Sometimes it can be hard to access, so what inspires your creative self?

Nature baby! my saviour, my inspiration and my greatest love x
Addicted to the flow state!
Inspired & fascinated by the "muse" concept also, and the fact we are just antennas for ideas that we have the ability to transmute into so many different forms/mediums resulting in "art". It almost feels obligatory to explore this gift humans are given of creativity & expression. Creating helps me navigate through stuck emotions, it seems to clear the mind clutter making way for clarity for decision making.
Lets not forget the eternal masterpiece that is nature!! Forever the biggest inspiration for my drawings. :)
I love this! I feel so in tune with this concept you speak of, that we are just antennas for ideas. It's like creativity is ever present and it drops in on people who, for some particular reason and at that particular moment in time, are open to receiving it. I often feel this way with songwriting, almost as if it dropped out of the sky and into me through a portal. The common theme when that happens is that I am calm, happy and grounded, so I feel it definitely correlates to a level of openness or the flow state you speak of. It can sound a little whacky to some, yet I know many creative people feel this when they are in that flow state. It's amazing and it feels good to unpack this topic.
100% to all of this!
Thanks for sharing this 😊
Honestly, humans! Theres so much good with the bad, but to be a human and how much evolution it took to get us to who we are today is amazing. The human spirit is so resilient, and we hold so much power (for good and bad). Particularly in my art I'm drawn to faces and I love mirroring them.
And also dreams... which in itself is a human thing...
Stories, blank pages, old lanterns, woodlands, fairytales, tiny mushrooms, great conversations, the late afternoon sun when it's all golden, the inner drive to heal and integrate, unfurling baby ferns, amazing stationary, cobblestone pathways, and a lot more little things!
